Pete, father of the brothers, Chad and Tyler, had worked for another company for around three years and reached a point where he felt he could do better for the community by branching out on his own.
With their mom pregnant with Chad, he took the leap that would change his life forever. Peterman Heating and Cooling started serving customers out of Beech Grove, IN, with just one truck and a garage.
Our customer base and service area snowballed thanks to Pete’s simple philosophy, one home at a time. Just by taking the time to make sure every customer was taking care of and genuinely caring about them, their home, and the work that needed to be done.
In 2007 and 2011, Tyler and Chad, respectively, joined the company. After many years working under Pete, in 2018 he slowly started to take a backseat as he began to prepare for his well-deserved golden years.
In 2021, the brand was updated from Peterman Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing to Peterman Brothers to reflect the change. From one truck and a man with a dream, we are now one of Indiana’s most prominent residential plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical services providers.
Pete’s humble beginning has grown into a 4-time honoree to the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America, employing more than 600 team members in our family across 5 Indiana locations.
